Maxxam Analytics is Canada's largest most recognized commercial laboratory. We are seeking an experienced, energetic and self-motivat4ed Account Manager - Petroleum Division to join our team in servicing our clients in the Calgary and Southern Alberta area.

DESCRIPTION:

Reporting to the Petroleum Sales Manager, you will focus on supporting and expanding Maxxam's market position. The successful candidate will be managing petroleum fluid accounts in the oil and gas industry, building strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, identifying and addressing client's needs as well as providing superior customer service support.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Support the Business Development Team in overall planning for the Calgary and Southern Alberta market
* Sales quotation preparation, tracking, pricing analysis and review

* New business development within a defined region and demographic for strategic growth planning
* Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual sales support documents and activity documentation

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

* 5+ years proven sales experience preferred

* A preference will be given for one of the following:
o Technical Diploma in a Science,
o Oilfield related diploma,
o B.Sc. in a Science, or
o Industry related equivalent

* Technical background in petroleum lab service an asset

* Possess a strong knowledge of the Western Canadian Energy sector - oil, gas and oilsands industry
* Excellent communication, presentation and problem-solving skills

* Ability to work under deadlines and multi task in a fast paced, ever changing business environment
