Job Description: PGS Data Processing is seeking geophysicists to be Project Leaders within the PGS depth imaging team in Houston. The position will report to a Depth Imaging Supervisor.Duties will include:
Carry out any delegated line managers’ tasks on a project basis and control routine production aspects of assigned projects.
Supervise the derivation of parameters used in processing by reference to both technical specifications and through testing.
Report project progress and anticipated resource requirements to line management and ensure maximum possible computer capacity utilisation.
Report project progress to and liaise with clients as required.
Report monthly invoicing figures for each project.
Follow company management and quality policies and procedures and participate in their review and continuous improvement.
Follow HSE Mission to operate and/or control company assets efficiently and cost effectively in such a way as to protect employees, contractors and the world-wide environment.
Continue to meet client requirements exceeding them where possible with a performance target of delivering all projects on time or ahead of schedule.
Be involved in and support geophysical staff training.
Any other reasonable task requested by management.
Qualifications required:
Degree level in Geosciences or related subject, or relevant industry experience
Minimum 7 years seismic processing experience, showing increasing responsibilities
Experience in the management of seismic processing projects
Must have the ability to legally work full time in the United States for any employer
Must be willing to commute on a daily basis to PGS' Houston, Texas office with no assistance from the Company
