POSITION SUMMARY:
The primary role of this position is to provide administrative and technical EHS services and support to Hess Global Drilling in the development, application and continuous improvement of Environmental, Health and Safety Management.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Directly support the Global Drilling and Completions EHS Manager.
* Monitor and coordinate established training requirements for designated Global Drilling personnel to ensure full compliance and conformity.
* Conduct Synergi Training as needed.
* Provide oversight of Synergi Reporting System for Global Drilling, monitor incidents for corrective actions management and report accuracy.
* Conduct incident investigation and root cause training as needed.
* Assure that the appropriate level of investigation is carried out on all incidents and monitor implementation of corrective actions or improvement recommendations.
* Facilitate or coordinate the Orientation for Hess Drilling New Employees and Consultants.
* Establish a partner working relationship with Hess Drilling Contractors through communication and team work.
* Assist with the implementation and completion of the EHS Action Items for all new drilling projects.
* Assist with the development of the Hess Drilling Contractor EHS Bridging Documents and other EHS documentation required for all drilling programs.
* Analyze drilling specific EHS data, identify trends if present, and make recommendations to improve performance.
* Assist with the maintenance/development Global Drilling EHS Management System.
* Maintain database on EHS Global Drilling documents and data and ensure documents are filed appropriately for future use or reference.
Qualifications
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:
* Working knowledge of EHS Safety Management Systems, OSHA, MMS, USCG and other applicable regulations to drilling industry.
* Strong written, verbal and PC skills (Word, Excel, Power Point)
* This is a Houston Texas based position which will require domestic and international travel.
EXPERIENCE:
5 plus years working knowledge and experience in E&P field operations, land based and offshore drilling operations experience is preferred.
EDUCATION:
Bachelors Degree in appropriate discipline preferred.
