A global group of energy and petrochemicals companies currently requires a Technical Health, Safety, and Environment Manager to join their team in Alberta to serve various locations across Alberta.
Roles and responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to the following:
- Performing Pre Start-Up Audits to validate the technical integrity of the project, to safeguard against a major incident and loss during start-up and subsequent operations.
- Recommending corrective measures to ensure technical, health, safety and environmental aspects of the project are up to internal and external codes and regulations.
To qualify for this highly specialized role, you must possess the following skills/experience:
- Extensive specialized knowledge of audits for mega projects and process safety risks of AOSP Expansion 1 scope, Shell design & operating standards and best practices.
- Extensive experience in the following: advising in the design stages of new processes/projects; executing desk safety reviews of new projects equivalent with HAZOP (Hazard and Operability) before release for detailed engineering design and construction; executing technical health and safety integrity reviews of existing installations, both desk safety reviews and field reviews; advising on requests for operating companies on technical safety subjects; and participating in incident investigation and incident reporting.
- Master's Degree.
