As the successful candidate you will hold a Bachelors degree in engineering or an equivalent technical field from a recognized and approved program. An advanced degree is preferred.
You will have at least ten years work experience, including at least the last 5 years in intensive experience in your area of expertise. This will involve intensive industry training including appropriate specialized courses and seminars.
You will have extensive experience of well completion/recompletion operations, wellbore intervention techniques and optimization of production systems.
A thorough understanding of safety and environmental practices is required as is an awareness of the safety related issue with well, production facilities and the environment.
You will be able to demonstrate experience in the design, installation and performance monitoring of ESPs and gas lifting, as well as the application of hydraulic fracturing techniques in tight carbonate reservoirs.
Duties & Responsibilities You will be required to perform the following:
Develop and coordinate major studies in any of the petroleum engineering areas.
Consult with and provide technical guidelines to management and related engineering groups on matters which falls with their area of responsibility.
Review activities requirements and ensure implantation.
Schedule well work to ensure the wellhead and down-hole integrities.
Recommend and implement ways to improve the well productivities.
Review remedial actions to safe upkeep of wells and producing facilities. Review work of engineers directed on project where additional manpower has been assigned.
