Lab/Field Technician

A global service provider to the oil, gas, and petroleum industries is actively seeking 2 lab/field technicians to join their growing team in Denver, Colorado. This person will primarily be responsible for sampling and analyzing unconventional material found near oil and gas reservoirs on site and in the local lab. Other responsibilities are as follows:

-Test samples chemical and physical characteristics
-Read and understand safety standards such as ASTM, UOP, and IP
-Assist other personnel on setting up and operating lab equipment
-Assist in calibrating, cleaning, and sterilizing lab instruments
-Prepare chemical solutions
-Attend training classes relevant to the industry and pass all required tests
-Complete raw data sheets by hand and database

Minimum Requirements:

-AS degree in Chemistry, Biology, Math, or Physics
-7 years total experience, most of which is relevant to the job description
-Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers in order to compute linear, volumetric, and weight measurements
-All candidates must be willing and able to travel and be away from home for days at a time
-Ability to pay for travel costs prior to trips (all employees will be reimbursed within 2 weeks)
-Ability to pass a drug screen
-Clean MVR and valid driver's license
