Lead Subsurface Development Engineer
Provide project management and business planning support to QGC and our parent company BG Group. In this varied role, you will lead conceptual development planning for our world-leading QCLNG project in the Surat Basin. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, you will manage the creation of work and business plans, oversee budgeting and the justification, timing and scope of proposed work.
Other crucial components of this role include managing and monitoring well activity, accurate reporting, influencing stakeholders, developing the reserves and maturation program, offering input into joint venture work programs and partner meetings, supporting the Field Development Plan teams and working with Finance and Economics teams to ensure budget data is consistent. This challenge calls for superior skills in team building, communication, negotiation, problem solving, time management, presentation and analysis. To be successful, you will need to be able to challenge others constructively, deliver complex projects to deadline and thrive under pressure.
Extensive subsurface engineering experience, preferably reservoir engineering, is required. We are looking for someone with relevant tertiary qualifications, substantial experience in dealing with complex field planning issues and strong project management skills. Further experience in business administration and CSG operations would be ideal.
