Description
Lead and manage the sales support & inside sales staff and related functions in the mid-atlantic region. Manage the pricing, proposal and contract generation process as well as all sales support functions. Develop, evaluate, and maintain the inside sales and broker/consultant program. Build customer relationships, renew contracts, and enforce company policies and procedures. Act as a liaison with supporting departments including: Gas Operations, Electric Operations, Billing, Oil Set-Up & Pricing, ST&T, and Contract Administration. Work closely with regional director to ensure regional objectives are met for the inside sales & sales support function within the region.
Responsibilities
-Manage Philadelphia, Baltimore and Charlotte inside sales and sales support teams to ensure high quality support to the direct sales team, brokers/consultants, and customers.
-Manage direct sales and broker/consultant pricing, proposal and contract generation/administration process for new and renewal customers.
-Assist in relationship management through response to customer and consultant/broker inquiries during the sales process to ensure adequate communication.
-Responsible for overseeing all electric, natural gas and oil accounts assigned to the inside sales program. Maintain and renew accounts while building relationships; cross-sell where applicable.
-Interact directly with consultants/ brokers. Evaulate brokers/consultants and ensure proper handling with contracts and payments within Hess. Manage process/procedures for all broker/consultant RFP's and ensure proper communication with regional director and direct sales team.
-Analyze and provide market intelligence following bids/RFP's. Provide competitive feedback to direct sales team as needed.
-Assist regional sales management with key customer support and special projects.
-Responsible for managing performance of direct reports including performance reviews (twice per year) and development of employee IDP's.
-Coaching, training, and mentoring direct reports.

-Contract approval authority for small and mid-size transactions.
-Perform standard pricing analysis/quotes to customers and broker/consultants.
-Presents sales proposals to inside sales customers and brokers /consultants.
Requirements
-Bachelor's degree in science/ business or equivalent business experience. MBA preferred.
-Three to five years supervisory experience in a sales environment.
-Minimum 2-5 years energy industry experience required.
-Ability to lead and mentor staff in a professional manner.
-Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced/ entreprenuerial atomospere.
-Ability to prioritize work and manage customer / consutlant/broker requests.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills; preferably developed in a sales environment.
-Ability to interface effectively with sales personnel and other departments within the corporation.
-Strong quantitative, analytical and problem solving skills. Must also be able to meet tight dealines and multi-task.
-Excellent MS office skills including: word, excel and powerpoint. Advanced spreadsheet skills required.
-Thorough understanding of all Hess systems including: SFDC, Apollo, EVE, Encore, SAP, Filenet and Swap Deal Systems.
-Knowledge of utilities and enrollment process.
Position is located in the Moorestown Energy Marketing field sales office.
