Lead the creation of an overarching Communications strategy that effectively balances the need for market awareness and customer education that drives overall business in terms of gross margin dollars per company, profitable market share and overall percentage of customers purchasing more than one commodity from Hess. This individual will be responsible for the creation, execution and management of an annual strategic plan that will be optimized based upon deepened relationships with existing customers with the appropriate level and type of education initiatives and execution of events (tradeshows, webinars, seminars etc). S/he will pilot a number of initiatives to determine an optimal marketing mix, for education, vs. up-sell & cross sell as well as regional allocation based upon marketplace needs and business goals.

Qualifications

* Minimum 3-5 years experience in marketing and crm functions
* Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, communications, public relations or related field
* Exceptional creative writing, editing and verbal skills
* Excellent working knowledge of word, excel, power point and access
* Knowledge of Salesforce.com preferred
* Self-motivated and detail oriented with strong fact-checking and proof-reading skills
* Knowledge of the energy industry a plus
* Ability to prioritize and effectively manage multiple projects
* Excellent understanding of Direct Marketing principles and practices
* Ability to create winning strategies that drive innovation and change for the business and customer experience
* Ability to effectively leverage business relationships to drive results in a matrix environment
* Excellent interpersonal skills and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate effectively in small and large groups to all levels of the organization.
