Position Summary:
Klohn Crippen Berger has an opening for a water treatment specialist to join our team of mine tailings and waste rock consultants. You will be interested in growing a group to complete recommendations and designs for water treatment processes for a variety of concept to closure projects in Canada, Peru, Australia and worldwide. You need to be able to work in an international team setting with Klohn geochemists, engineers, surface and ground water specialists and environmental scientists. You will be in or prepared to locate to either Vancouver; Lima or Brisbane. This is an exciting opportunity in which you will be able to grow a group within the overall framework of the KCB Mining Environment Unit, you will have the responsibility to define the group scope within our expanding consulting practice and to market and develop the services.
Qualifications:
* Minimum 10-15 years experience in Mine Water Treatment
* Demonstrated track record in conventional and non conventional treatment of Acid Rock Drainage
* Experience in mechanical, electrical, mine water process technology;
* Understanding of hydrology, environmental engineering or civil engineering preferred
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (other languages are an asset)
* Demonstrated report writing skills
* Demonstrated Project Management skills, and ability to supervise, train and mentor junior to intermediate staff
* Willingness to travel, ability to work in team environments or autonomously
