Description
Please note that this is a PART-TIME position. Maximum flexibility is preferred; Must be willing to Monday thru Sunday as well as Holidays. Availability on Monday's, Tuesday's and Friday's are a MUST.
Receives customer orders for fuel oil products by phone. Confirms time parameters, quantities required, type of product ordered and input information into online computer. Informs customers of delivery status, coordinates delivery of product with contract carriers and coordinates problem solving, order placement, delivery releases and carrier deliveries with internal departments. Addresses inquiries from customers, sends faxes to carriers and/or customers, performs clerical duties as assigned by management, also assists in training new employees.
*Handles incoming calls from customers, takes customer orders for fuel oil products. Inputs quantities, type of product required, confirm time parameters with customer.
*Contacts sales department with information regarding customer orders and coordinates scheduling of orders for new customers/customer locations.
*Serves as intermediary between customer and appropriate department within corporate structure
*Maintains working relationships with customer service by forwarding complaints concerning product quality or services and advising them of any delivery -related problems.
*Requests additional carrier support and coordinates carrier workloads during peak volume periods.
*Provides specific details to traffic department regarding assigned workloads to outside contract carriers and coordinates requests for prior deliveries.
*Assigns carriers as per cops center manger instructions.
*Obtains credit releases from the corporate credit department.
*Performs clerical tasks such as preparing envelopes, special mailings, assisting with report data and special projects as assigned by Supervisor and Manager.
*Assists in training of new employees.
Qualifications
-Must be able to work Monday's, Tuesday's and Friday's as well as holidays and weekends.
-Good customer-service background combined with excellent telephone skills to interface with internal and external contacts.
-PC keyboarding skills and basic knowledge of a computerized customer service database.
-Good teamwork skills to function effectively within a customer-oriented team environment.
-Well-organized individual with good teamwork skills.
-Multi-tasking ability is a plus.
-Bilingual (Spanish) skills would be a definite plus.
