Job Title: Petroleum Engineer II

I. SUMMARY A brief description that summarizes the overall purpose and objectives of the position and the results the worker is expected to accomplish. Provide engineering and project evaluation for PDCs DJ Assets. Perform studies on prior capital programs to improve future results. Work with completions group on implementation and work closely with production operations. Work closely with Geology/Land on asset development projects.II. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS The tasks, duties and responsibilities of the position that are most important to get the job done. 1. Develop and monitor capital programs including drilling proposals, recompletion programs and refrac programs; 2. Prepare AFEs and project packages for management approval; 3. Provide technical support for asset teams (completions, production and reservoir); 4. Develop and maintain inventory of all projects in assigned basin and provide support to the Reserves Group; 5. Participate in well reviews with teams and field personnel; 6. Production operations, reservoir and completions engineering and project evaluations as needed; 7. Perform and assume other duties and responsibilities as may be required at the direction of the DJ Asset Director.III. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES The specific minimum competencies required for job performance. 1. Solid engineering skills; 2. Operational knowledge, i.e. completions, production, facilities, and drilling; 3. Natural gas operations focus preferred; 4. Solid interpersonal skills; 5. Aries/economic evaluation skills and basic reservoir engineering analysis; 6. Cased hole workover experience preferred; 7. Strong computer skills required; 8. Strong technical writing skills; 9. Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing; 10. Must have strong sense of integrity; 11. Must be a self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision; 12. Must be able to multi-task effectively and to manage multiple deadlines.IV. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES The scope of the persons authority, including a list of jobs that report to the incumbent. 1. There are no initial supervisory responsibilities related to this position.V. WORKING CONDITIONS The environment in which the job is performed, especially any unique conditions outside a normal office environment. 1. Consistent with that of a normal office environment; 2. Must be able to travel as necessary to operations in CO, KS and other future areas.VI. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS The minimum level of education, experience, and certifications required to perform the job. 1. Minimum requirement of bachelors degree in Petroleum Engineering preferred; Mechanical/Chemical Engineering degree may be considered; 2.
