Perform all engineering duties associated with exploration and development drilling prospects, reworks, recompletions, well abandonment, and producing property acquisitions. Manage field operations associated with drilling, major rework, and well abandonment, including well site supervision. Provide assistance to operations, land and accounting departments.
Diverse petroleum engineering background including experience in drilling (including horizontal drilling applications), production and reservoir engineering is required.
Experience with a variety of producing basins i.e. Powder River Basin, Williston Basin, DJ Basin, Sacramento Basin, Gulf of Mexico, South Texas, and Texas-Louisiana Gulf Coast.
Strong working knowledge of geology and geophysics; especially 3-D seismic technology.
Demonstrated ability to work with public, contractors, service personnel, and governing agencies.
B.S. in Petroleum Engineering.
Minimum of 5-7 years experience in petroleum engineering with an oil/gas exploration and production company.
Must have experience with oil/gas software: particularly economic evaluation software, open-hole log analysis, and geological mapping.
