As the successful candidate you will hold a Bachelors degree in engineering from a recognized and approved program.
You will have a minimum of seven years experience in petroleum development, production, reservoir or geological engineering.
You will be able to demonstrate diversified experience in all aspects of well completions and production engineering and must have a thorough knowledge of production monitoring and maintenance, completion design, production logging, well test design and analysis, coiled tubing and workover operations, electric and slick line operations, and well control.
Experience with electrical submersible pumps, and horizontal and multi-lateral completions is beneficial.
You will have been involved with stimulation and re-completion techniques in high water cut carbonate reservoirs and must be proficient in computer operations and software applications including flow simulation and reservoir surveillance.
You will also have experience as a production engineer in high water cut fields where high capacity artificial lift techniques are used.
Duties & Responsibilities You will be required to perform the following:
Provide technical support for operations including coiled tubing operations, well testing, matrix stimulation, water shut off, perforating and logging.
Advise on water shut-off and selective stimulation techniques for high water cut wells.
Monitor and trouble shoot producing operations and well integrity.
Lead / participate on multi-disciplinary teams, provide technical advice and guidance, and mentor / train younger engineers.
Perform in-depth technical / engineering studies, write guidelines and policy documents, initiate innovative proposals, and author papers for internal and external publication.
Provide expert advice on the design, installation and operation of electrical submersible pumps (ESPs).
Review existing field monitoring procedures and recommend modifications that will provide adequate monitoring of ESP equipped wells.
