Software Development Engineer/Technologist (New Grad)
My client, an independent consulting petroleum company based in Calgary, requires a Petroleum Software Development Engineer/Technologist.
You will have some petroleum industry experience and good knowledge of the software development environment.
You will have a Bachelors degree in Engineering or a Diploma in Engineering Technology (Petroleum is preferred).
Excellent communication skills, organizational skills, and analytical skills are essential for success in this role. You should also be enthusiastic, energetic, and a strong team player.
The main duties of the role include:
- Working with your software team on the development and implementation of new software features
- Assist with research and development
- Prepare technical documentation for coding implementation
- Verify technical accuracy of software calculations with quality assurance
- Prepare technical presentations and papers
