Project coordinator (m/f)

The Section 4.3 "Organic Geochemistry" leads the industry-funded project "Gas Shales in Europe" (GASH; project details can be found here: www.gas-shales.org). The open position is part of the project leading group at GFZ in Potsdam.

Tasks:

To coordinate an industry-funded research project
To organize workshops
To coordinate reporting
To present the project scientifically and in media
Qualifications:

PhD in geosciences
Background in sedimentology, organic geochemistry, or related disciplines of petroleum geology
Experience in project management
Experience and interest to work with data bases
Willingness to travel frequently and to work in the field during drilling campaigns (driving license is recommended)
Motivation to work in a multi-disciplinary team
Very good command of English language
Start: As soon as possible
Duration: initially for 2 years
Salary: EG 13/14 TVöD-O (depending on qualification)
