Essential Job Duties:
Conduct reservoir simulation studies of IOR/EOR processes on major assets, as requested by business units. Experience in miscible flood projects preferred.
Work with multi-functional teams in framing, planning, and conducting reservoir model building and follow-on reservoir studies. Travel to Middle Eastern asset required.
Conduct field re-development studies in support of Oxy’s Business Development Group
Provide specialist consulting services to Oxy’s reservoir engineering community in at least one of Pressure Transient Analysis, PVT Analysis, Equation of State modeling, integrated production modeling, field development planning, etc
Provide specialist consulting services to Oxy’s reservoir engineering community in at least one of Pressure Transient Analysis, PVT Analysis, Equation of State modeling, integrated production modeling, etc
Mentor Oxy’s reservoir engineers as a part of reservoir study projects.
Required Qualifications:
M.S. or higher in Petroleum Engineering
At least 15 years experience in reservoir engineering with emphasis on reservoir modeling
Strong level knowledge of most and specialist level knowledge of some aspects of reservoir management
Strong working knowledge of VIP, ECLIPSE and other simulators
Strong leadership skills
Excellent communication skills
Good team player.
