Essential Job Duties:
Oxy Permian’s South RMT is excited to offer an opportunity to a Reservoir Engineer to join an integrated team of reservoir engineers, production engineers, geoscientists and support technicians who will maximize value from several complicated and challenging reservoirs in the Permian Basin. The collective efforts of the team members will use many tools to unlock the remaining hydrocarbons in reservoirs currently exhibiting low to medium recovery factors from reservoirs with OOIP values from 100 million to over 1 billon barrels.

The reservoir engineer will be able to develop and sharpen their skills in both waterflooding and CO2 flooding areas. Development and step-out drilling, new project development, pattern expansions and surveillance, enhancement opportunities, business planning and reserves growth will be key drivers for this challenging assignment.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

BS in Engineering.
Minimum 5 years upstream oil & gas experience with 2 years in reservoir engineering focusing on secondary or enhanced oil recovery.
Demonstrated results in adding value through solid engineering and business / economic techniques.
Ability to make technically sound decisions and recommendations with less than perfect or complete input data.
Ability to interact in a cross-functional team environment and represent the company with other working interest partners.
Ability to be viewed as a leader on projects.
Ability to get a project pass the idea and design stage.
Business planning and reserves knowledge.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to be creative and the desire to solve problems.

Additional Desired Qualifications:
CO2 experience would be a benefit.
Knowledge in geologic models.
