Essential Job Duties:
Oxy is a growing, action-oriented exploration and production company continually working to be one of industry’s best. Our success has and will continue to be dependent upon our talented workforce . We are currently looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Reservoir/Business Planner for our California Growth team. This position will report to the Director of California Growth and will be located within our Exploration offices in Bakersfield California.
* Conducts reservoir engineering analysis, studies, and performance evaluations for Shale and Unconventional Reservoirs
* Coordinate the planning and financial activities for the California Growth team.
* Prepare and analyze business plans, economic evaluations, reserves evaluations, production forecasts, expense forecasts, AFE preparation, and capital requirements.
* Drive the project evaluation process, which includes; scope, identification of critical path and bottlenecks, milestones, tracking, capital efficiency, and resource requirements.
* Assist in reservoir engineering decisions / activities for the California Growth team.
Required Qualifications:
* Bachelors Degree, preferable Engineering or Finance;
* Minimum five years experience in Oil & Gas development – experience in operations or reservoir engineering preferred;
* Strong business background and understanding of key financial measures;
* Strong analytical skills;
* Leadership skills and ability to effectively interact with other professionals to advance projects/ideas;
* Excellent interpersonal and team work skills;
* Ability to handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines;
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
