Essential Job Duties:
Serve as a reservoir engineer in Oxy’s central shale team
Share best practices on shale characterization and development concepts to BU’s
Lead multi-functional teams in framing, planning, and conducting shale development or performance review studies
Provide general reservoir engineering services on shale development in support of business units
Coordinate collection of analog data on shale development and share data with business units
Participate in or lead peer reviews of business unit projects/assets
Represent Oxy in JIP’s
Required Qualifications:
B.S. or higher in Petroleum Engineering
At least 15 years experience in reservoir engineering with emphasis on shale characterization and development
More than 5 years experience managing development of shale reservoirs
Strong level of knowledge of use of analytical or numerical tools to forecast shale reservoir performance
Strong leadership skills
Strong business and customer focus
Excellent communication skills
Good team player
