POSITION SUMMARY
The Sr. EHS Specialist Emergency Response-Crisis Management position provides support to the E&P Houston Emergency Response Organization. This team manages the emergency response/crisis management program, provides Incident Management Training (NIMS ICS) to all E&P business units, provides expertise by filling ICS organizational key positions during events and incidents, and maintains an Emergency Operations Center (EOC) at One Allen Center, Houston, Texas.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Ensure Emergency Response Plans throughout the E&P organization are functional, technically accurate, up-to-date and are exercised or drilled on an annual basis. Provide input/advice to correct any plan deficiencies. Provide plan development and delivery as required.
* Manage the Houston One Allen Center Emergency Operations Center (EOC). Solicit quotes and coordinate repairs with contractors
* Maintain EOC telecommunication equipment and manage distribution to responders during emergencies.
* Maintain "Send Word Now" data base by coordinating personnel information updates with Human Resources.
* Provided Incident Command System training (ICS 100-ICS 400, position specific and incident management training) upon request by E&P business units.
* Activate the Emergency Operations Center as directed. Respond to incidents as the Incident Management Specialist or in any position requested.
* Coordination/collaboration of emergency response management issues with Exploration EHS, Drilling EHS and regional EHS Managers.
* Further develop "standardized approaches" to promote the Emergency Response Center of Excellence.
* Establish a working relationship with Hess Response Contractors through communication and team work.
* Assist EHS Team as needed for special projects, investigations, training, etc.

Qualifications

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

* Practical knowledge in Emergency Response operations, Incident Command System and Emergency Response planning.
* Able to develop emergency response plans
* Good verbal skills

* Auditing skills
* Cultural Sensitivity

EXPERIENCE:

* 4 plus years working knowledge and experience in emergency operations centers, working with emergency response planning and/or working disaster/emergency response.
* Profession Certification: Incident Command System courses 100, 200, 300

EDUCATION/TRAINING:
Bachelors degree in appropriate discipline is preferred
