We are seeking an experienced well simulation specialist to join the Production Technology Team within the Exploration and Producing Advanced Research Center (EXPEC ARC).
EXPEC ARC provides an unrivalled environment for creativity and innovation in the upstream sector by creating new opportunities to find, develop, and produce hydrocarbon resources, developing cost-effective solutions to meet Saudi Aramco's unique upstream technological needs.
Minimum Requirements As the successful candidate you will hold a Masters degree PhD in petroleum or chemical engineering from a recognized and approved program.
You would have 15 years combined experience in the oil industry, academia and/or government employment related to stimulation treatments, with at least 5-10 years devoted primarily to research and development.
Your excellence in research will be evidenced by your publications, invited presentations, patents, professional awards and honors, and professional society activities.
You are expected to have a broad variety of well productivity enhancement technology experience, and have worked in a variety of reservoirs and fluid types.
Significant knowledge of other areas of geology, rock mechanics, and chemistry is essential. You should also have previous experiences dealing with acidizing carbonate and sandstone reservoirs.
You should be aware of chemical treatments needed for extended reach, multilateral and smart wells and you should be familiar with various acid additives, and their functions and limitations.
Familiarity with stimulation testing procedures and equipment, and the ability to communicate and steer applied research with various international R&D organizations is a requirement.
International experience is preferred.
